Het liedje "Wasn't that a party" waarop wij dansen wordt gezongen door Scooter lee, maar de orginele schrijver/zanger van dit lied is
Tom Paxton die die lied in 1973 al schreef.
In 1981 brachten The Rovers deze song wederom uit en werd deze versie het meest bekend. Het lied is
later ook nog door Jimmy Sturr en John Scott Trotter, en Scooter Lee opnieuw uitgebracht.

De zanger zelf:
Tom paxton is een bekende amerikaanse folkzanger en songwriter, die al 40 jaar lang in het vak zit.
In eerste instantie was Tom Paxton een liedjes schrijver voor bekende zangers als Pete Seeger en Judy Collins maar schreef ook teksten voor Harry Belafonte, John Denver, Dolly Parton en Willie Nelson, en vele anderen.
De liedjes van Tom Paxton gingen over vele onderwerpen, varierend van serieus tot vrolijk.
Serieuze liedjes zijn:"My Son John", "On the Road to Srebrenica" en "the bravest" over de omgekomen brandweerlieden op 11 septeber 2001.

Vrolijke liedjes hadden ook vaak een politieke achtergrond, zoals het verkiezingsschandaal in florida in 2000 ( In florida), "Without Delay" over het congreslid Bobbitt die in opspraak kwam, en "Lyndon Johnson Told the Nation" waarin de draak gestoken wordt met de oorlog in Vietnam.
en natuurlijk "wasn't that a party".
